Your body is a rainforest
I seek shelter
from parched and barren air
from television-bleached faces
from eyes that strip me naked
and never see my heartI burrow into your arms
a wounded creature
going to groundhalf the oxygen in the world
is in your kissmy face against your skin
I see birds
sun-bursting from the vines
